Service and Maintenance
All customers with a service and Mainntenance contract are reassured by the knowledge that they can obtain technical advice and engineer attendance whenever they require it - 24 hours a Day, 7 Days a week, 365 days a year. Without effective maintenance even the best equipment will deteriorate. If you are relying on a system to detect intruders or to save lives in the event of a fire you must be sure that all systems are fully functional by having regular, planned preventative maintenance checks carried out by qualified engineers.
BS5839-(2002) - Recommends that systems are checked four times a year.
NACOSS - The governing body for security systems states systems to be checked twice a year.
The Data Prection Act Code of Practice for CCTV (2000) - States that maintenance should be undertaken on a regular basis in order to ensure that clear images are recorded.
BS5266 - States that emergency lighting should be regularly maintained.
